Carl Kaysen (b. 1920), economist, educator, and government official, was a professor at Harvard University from 1946 to 1966. He served the Kennedy administration as Deputy Special Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs from1961 to 1963. John Fitzgerald Kennedy was born on May 29, 1917, to Joseph P. Kennedy and Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy of Brookline, Massachusetts.
